Thank you so much for your interest in my practice! While the idea of a house call doctor might seem foreign to you, house calls were once a mainstay of the medical profession. Due in part to our insurance driven health care system, the house call was replaced by medical offices, clinics, and emergency rooms. Unfortunately, the complex needs of the medically fragile get lost in today's volume-driven, office-based healthcare environment.
I am the owner of Schuylkill Medical Associates and have been leading the movement of house call doctors since 2012. I am a board-certified family medicine physician who exclusively treats patients in the comfort and safety of their homes. I do not have a brick-and-mortar office; my office comes to you. Although the majority of my patients are geriatric, I see patients of any age who are home bound or who find it a hardship to get to their primary physician.
I believe that communication and a team approach are crucial in helping seniors to age in place. I become your advocate and will help you and your family navigate the daunting maze of challenges that can come with aging. Like any primary care physician, I provide full scope primary care, including acute and chronic disease management, pain management, preventive care, end of life care, wound and incontinence care, and more. I can also change gastrostomy tubes and tracheostomy tubes in the home, if needed. I am committed to working closely with you, your family and all members of your health care team in order to provide customized and comprehensive medical care that would not be possible through an office-based practice.
In 2021, I transitioned Schuylkill Medical Associates from an insurance-based model to a concierge model to be able to provide even more comprehensive care to the medically complex. Although I do not accept insurance, your insurance coverage is still used for all else related to your care such as labs, xrays, hospitalizations, therapy, nursing, etc.
